What is the difference between parkour and ninja warrior?
Ninja class includes instruction on obstacles similar to those shown on American Ninja Warrior, such as the warped wall, quintuple steps, rope swing, ring/cannonball alley, pegboard etc. It requires a good amount of upper body strength with some lower body. This improves a student's upper body strength, grip endurance and grip strength.
Parkour classes teach and use skills such as vaults, strides, precisions, laches, rolls, flips, wall runs and more to increase and improve a student's dexterity, balance, reflexes, cardio, body awareness, and air awareness. You would recognize many of these techniques being performed by stunt athletes, Red Bull Art of Motion athletes, as well as Ultimate Tag athletes. Parkour tends to utilize a significant amount of lower body with some upper body.
Both of these disciplines have a fair amount of cross over and compliment each other well! Athletes experienced in both disciplines tend to experience faster growth and find more success in competition.
